The Birthday Project, USA

A storage make-over worth of a party!

The Birthday Party Project, an American nonprofit that brings joy to thousands of homeless children every month through the magic of birthdays, needed a storage makeover. Their home office and storage facility, which serves cities across the USA, were packed with a variety of freestanding shelving that couldn’t handle the load of donated supplies and toys. Finding the gifts, decorations and party favours for each themed party was becoming more and more difficult. Their offices were also in dire need of organisation.

Maximising every millimetre

Elfa’s click-in and drawer solutions were the answer. The entire storage area was outfitted with Elfa to maximize every millimetre of the space. The wall-mounted solution with wire shelves and shelf baskets were spaced to fit the items being stored.

Now everything is easy to find

Gifts and decorations were sorted into categories and themes so they were easy to find when placed in gliding drawers or see through plastic boxes. Elfa’s pegboards hold ribbon, scissors, tape, and other wrapping supplies. Melamine shelves, placed in the wall-hung click-in system or in a free-standing click-in unit, create handy wrapping stations.
