Inspiration and clothes storage tips for bedrooms

A neat and orderly wardrobe can be more than a dream. Would you like to have an aesthetically pleasing and well-organised wardrobe, but don’t know where to start? Here we offer inspiring ideas and practical advice to help you achieve your wardrobe dream of smart clothes storage.

An open storage solution gives you a complete overview of your clothes. Our flexible storage system lets you utilise the spaces you have to tailor a dream wardrobe around your specific needs.

Get an overview of your clothes by combining shelves in various depths

Thanks to the open and airy design of the Click-in system you will get an accurate overview of your clothes. By choosing shelves with a depth adapted to the specific type of clothes you want to store you will improve the layout of your items. Shallower shelves relatively close to each other make it easier to manage, locate items and see what you have in your wardrobe. Shelves that are 30 cm deep are sufficient for tops. For bulkier clothes like jumpers, we recommend shelves that are either 40 cm or 50 cm deep.

Store things according to how often you use them

Store the things you seldom use, like suitcases, duvets or seasonal items higher up on your storage solution. Keep the things you use daily at a convenient and practical height. Work clothes should for example be easier to reach than your party clothes.

My side and your side

By dividing a shared closet in two: my side and yours, you can achieve a better overview of where your items are stored.

Create a system for routine sorting of unused clothes

Having a system for sorting out unused clothes will allow for better use of valuable space in your closet. Place deep baskets, bags or bins close to the middle. Then mark them “sell,” “swap,” “donate,” ”recycle,” etc. Place the garments there right away when you’ve decided you no longer need them. This way you are more likely to do something about them.

Planning a closet under sloped ceilings

Sloped ceilings are common in our homes and can present a challenge when furnishing a space. The flexible Click-in system fits into any space even in a room with a slanted ceiling. Use a freestanding unit and place solid shelves or accessory trays on top. There you can place bags, accessories and other items you want easily accessible. Another option is to add a shelving system above the top hanging Click-in system to cover more wall space. Read more about sloped ceilings here.

Free yourself from heaps of clothes

Create a specific area in your closet for clothes that don’t need laundering just yet. For instance, hang your favourite jeans on a hook after wearing them so you can easily reach them next time.
